No personal profiles. We don't store your search history or tie it to a persistent ID. Your IP is used only for a few seconds at a time to stop one visitor from hammering the server; it isn't kept as part of a personal profile or shared with anyone.
The shelf—the tray where you collect frames—lives entirely in your browser's local storage. It's tied to your device, not an account, and we never see its contents. Exporting a stack or ZIP sends a one-time request to build the file; nothing about your shelf gets saved on our end afterward.
Anyone with the link—a captioned GIF gets its own shareable URL, so treat it like posting a link publicly. GIFs aren't kept forever; older ones are cleared out automatically to make room for new ones.
There's no personal data to share—no accounts, no PII. Right now the site runs on donations with no ads at all.
We operate this site in good faith. We believe using searchable frames and dialogue data is a fair use: it creates a transformative reference tool rather than a way to rewatch or redistribute 30 Rock. There's no full-episode download or reconstruction here. This is a labor of love created by someone who loves 30 Rock and wants to share it with others.
No. This is an unofficial, unaffiliated fan project. All 30 Rock content belongs to its rights holders—we're just indexing it for search.
No, that's not something this tool offers. It's built for finding and sharing individual moments, not reassembling episodes.
So you can search the way you actually remember a line—by typing the words, not scrolling through screenshots. The transcript is the search index made visible.
Not meaningfully. It started, and stays, a labor of love. Any donations go toward keeping it running, not toward profit.
Because hosting over two million frames and running GIF export costs real money every month, just not very much of it. Donations cover that, so the project can stay free and stay up.
The essentials: the server, image storage and CDN for the frame bank, the domain name, and other small operating costs.
No. Staying free is the point—it's also part of why this stays a fan project instead of starting to look like a business. No subscriptions, no merch, no paywalled features, planned or otherwise.
Search matches the subtitle text, so it works best with a few real words from the line rather than a paraphrase. If a search comes up empty, try a shorter fragment or double-check the wording—the punchline you remember is often close, not word-for-word.
Find the moment through search, mark a start and end point, preview the range, then add a caption if you want one before exporting. Everything renders server-side from the stored frame bank, so your device never has to encode anything.
Frames are captured at a fixed rate, not at every possible instant, so the closest match to a line can land a fraction of a second early or late. If something looks off, check the neighboring frames in the filmstrip—the exact beat is usually one or two frames away.
